Counselling Approach

I am an integrative counsellor, this means that I am able to draw my theoretical knowledge from the counselling approaches of person-centred, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and psychodynamic.

I work with this knowledge, offering counselling that emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor, whilst using skills and techniques that are appropriate for each individual.

The counselling provisions that I can provide are listed below:

Counselling

This can be both short or long term, supporting and facilitating you to cope with life changes, overwhelming feelings and transitions. I now offer counselling to individuals over 18. This has moved to online apart from my outdoor therapy practice.

Walk and Talk Counselling

A counselling session that takes place at a suitable location outside. These sessions take a similar format to indoor work, in terms of the focus being on the client’s therapeutic work. But with the advantage of being in the natural world.

Eco Therapeutic Approach

I can also provide counselling that is embedded in nature, focusing on your own connection to the natural world, working with specific nature-based techniques and exercises, I have developed my Eco therapy practice based on the concept that we are not separate to nature, but part of it.

Psychological educational consultation and support for parents

Due to my extensive experience and qualifications in working with children and young people, I can provide psycho-educational consultation and support for parents.
